What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Finance And Accounting position at Stronghold Contracting Group?
Director of Finance Haleco Services LLC Prattville, AL | Full-Time | On-Site | Exempt, Salaried
About Haleco Services LLC
Haleco Services LLC is a professional services entity supporting a growing group of four operating companies across telecommunications construction, industrial maintenance, and appliance services. We are building the financial infrastructure to match our operational growth, and we are looking for a hands-on, experienced finance leader to own that function.
About the Role
The Director of Finance will manage the day-to-day financial operations across all four entities in the Haleco group. This is not a corporate oversight role. It is a working finance leadership position for someone who is equally comfortable in the details and in the boardroom. You will build processes, own reporting, manage cash flow, and be a true strategic partner to company leadership.
If you have a strong accounting foundation, multi-entity or construction finance experience, and the drive to build something, this is an exceptional opportunity in a growing organization.
What You Will Own
- Full accounting operations across all entities including AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and job cost accounting
- Monthly, weekly, and quarterly financial reporting including P&L statements, cash flow reports, AR and AP aging, WIP reports, and executive performance packs
- Annual budget development and rolling forecasts for each operating company
- Cash flow management, banking relationships, and working capital optimization
- Internal controls, GAAP compliance, audit management, and regulatory filings
- Financial systems implementation and optimization including QuickBooks, Smartsheet, and ERP tools
- Mentorship and oversight of accounting clerks and AP/AR specialists across the group
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's or CPA strongly preferred)
- 5 to 10 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, ideally with multi-entity, construction, or field services companies
- Strong knowledge of job cost accounting and project-based financial tracking
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and similar financial management platforms
- Hands-on, detail-oriented approach with the ability to operate in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for operational leadership
Why Join Us
We are a growing multi-entity group with active operations across Alabama and the Southeast. This is a ground-floor opportunity to build a finance function that will scale with the business. You will have direct access to ownership and leadership, real decision-making authority, and the ability to make a visible impact from day one.
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. CPA and multi-entity experience will be recognized in the offer.
To Apply
- Submit your resume and a brief note about your experience managing multi-entity or construction finance operations. We review every application and will be in touch quickly with qualified candidates.
