Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, confident, and customer-focused Doorman to be the first point of contact for guests. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, fun, and controlled environment while providing a welcoming experience for all patrons. The ideal candidate can balance security with hospitality in a high-energy nightlife setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests and create a welcoming first impression at the door
• Check IDs to verify legal drinking age and ensure compliance with laws in North Carolina
• Manage lines and control guest entry during peak hours
• Monitor capacity limits and maintain organized crowd flow
• Enforce venue policies (dress code, behavior, intoxication limits)
• Identify and address potential issues before they escalate
• De-escalate conflicts calmly and professionally
• Communicate with bar staff and management regarding any concerns
• Refuse entry to intoxicated or disruptive individuals when necessary
• Assist with closing procedures and ensure guests exit safely

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong communication and people skills
• Ability to stay calm under pressure
• Good judgment and quick decision-making
• Friendly but firm personality
• Ability to stand for long periods and work late nights
• Previous experience in nightlife, security, or customer service preferred

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience in bars, clubs, or live entertainment venues
• Knowledge of alcohol laws and ID verification
• Security license (if applicable)
• CPR / First Aid certification

Work Environment

• Fast-paced, high-energy bar or live music venue
• Night, weekend, and holiday shifts required
• Loud environment with large crowds

Pay: $100.00 per day
