The Special Educator will work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. Position Overview:
As a Special Educator at Strides Therapy & Educational Services, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational journey of students with diverse learning needs. Collaborating closely with a team of fellow Special Educators, your primary responsibility will be to provide tailored support to enhance students' communication and language development within educational settings across Alaska.
- Individualized Instruction: Develop and implement customized instructional plans to meet the unique needs of each student, focusing on communication and language skills.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other Special Educators (Exceptional Student Educators) and educational professionals to ensure a cohesive support system for students.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess students' progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to promote growth and achievement.
- Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with students, families, and school staff to facilitate student success and address any concerns or challenges.
- Professional Development: Stay current with best practices and research in special education to enhance your skills and knowledge continuously.

Compensation: up to $65; travel stipend can be discussed for candidates who are willing to relocate
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid and current certification as a Special Educator in Alaska. (if applicable)
- Educator Certificate (if applicable)
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Dedication to ongoing professional growth and development in the field of special education.
