Additional Details:
Start: Oct 13th, 2025, through April 30th,2025 (with potential to extend through school year, as caseload identifies)
· Oct - Feb (Secondary Placement)
· Feb - April (Elementary Placement)
Responsibilities

The Speech Language Pathologist will conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.

Provide evidence-based speech and language pathology interventions and strategies to improve students' communication, articulation, fluency, and language skills.

Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other members of the school-based team to create and implement strategies that support students' participation in the classroom and social activities.

Monitor and document students' progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

Offer guidance and education to parents, teachers, and support staff on strategies to enhance students' communication skills and facilitate carryover into the classroom.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including session notes, progress reports, and billing documentation.

Stay current with the latest research, best practices, and techniques in speech-language pathology.

Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, team meetings, and school-based professional development opportunities.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and ethical standards governing speech-language pathology services in schools.
Qualifications:

Master's degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Maryland licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC SLP) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.

Experience in pediatric or school-based speech-language pathology is highly desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, educators, and support staff.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload.
