We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team of professionals, working collaboratively to support students' communication and language development within educational settings. Position Overview:
As a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome communication challenges, improve their speech and language skills, and achieve their educational goals. Your expertise will be essential in promoting students' overall success and well-being in the school environment. We are currently seeking a full-time, temporary candidate (ending 9/26). The candidate will be 3 days at a middle school, 2 days at an elementary school.
Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.

Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy interventions, exercises, and strategies to improve students' communication, articulation, fluency, and language skills.

Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other members of the school-based team to create and implement strategies that support students' participation in the classroom and social activities.

Monitor and document students' progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

Offer guidance and education to parents, teachers, and support staff on strategies to enhance students' communication skills and facilitate carryover into the classroom.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including session notes, progress reports, and billing documentation.

Stay current with the latest research, best practices, and techniques in speech language pathology.

Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, team meetings, and school-based professional development opportunities.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and ethical standards governing speech-language pathology services in schools.
Qualifications:
-
Master's degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Florida state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.

Experience in pediatric or school-based speech-language pathology is highly desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, educators, and support staff.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload.
