Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team working with the Infants and Toddlers Program in St. Mary's County, Maryland. As a Physical Therapist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of infants and toddlers by providing physical therapy services to support their motor development and overall well-being.
Additional Details: Early Intervention population 0-3 years of age
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the motor development and physical abilities of infants and toddlers.
- Develop and implement IFSPs to address identified needs and goals.
- Provide direct physical therapy services to infants and toddlers in a variety of settings, including homes and community based.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to therapy and support.
- Educate and empower families with techniques and strategies to promote motor development and improve functional abilities.
- Monitor and document progress regularly, adjusting therapy plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, treatment sessions, and progress notes.
- Stay informed about best practices and evidence-based interventions in pediatric physical therapy.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid license to practice physical therapy in the state of Maryland. (if applicable)
- Educator Certificate (if applicable)
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, and young children, preferably in an early intervention or pediatric setting.
- Strong clinical skills in pediatric physical therapy assessment, intervention, and documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with families, caregivers, and team members.
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of infants and toddlers.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
