Overview
StretchLab is seeking experienced fitness / wellness professionals with leadership aspirations to lead our team of stretching therapists, or Flexologists, at our studio in Bothell and/or Lynnwood, Washington. The Lead Flexologist will report directly to the General Manager with regular exposure to the studio owner. Our Lead Flexologist is first and foremost an exceptional Flexologist working directly with members and prospective members.
ResponsibilitiesFlexologist (~20 hrs / week)
- Deliver one-on-one assisted stretch sessions (15-20 hrs / week minimum)
- Encourage and motivate clients throughout stretch sessions
- Build StretchLab membership and retain current clientele
- Ensure safety of clients in regards to proper stretch techniques and enforce StretchLab policies and safety rules
- Handle member concerns when applicable
- Conduct Introductory sessions with prospective members
- Assist sales associates and General Manager with studio tour and sales as needed
- Maintain strong social media presence to client membership and retention
- Clean and maintain all equipment to ensure it is available for client use at any time
In addition, the Lead Flexologist inspires the Flexologist team to excel in their practice:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES – Lead Flexologist (~10 hrs / week)
- Recruit, hire, and train Flexologists in the studio (2hrs / week)
- Monthly touch-base meetings with each Flexologist to review key performance indicators
- Encourage Flexologist team to complete weekly and monthly continuous learning presentations (1 hr / quarter)
- Prepare for and host quarterly all-team meetings & continuing education forums for Flexologists and membership coordinators (1hr / quarter)
- Manage Flexologists’ schedules, time off requests, and related items (5 hrs / week)
- Ensure that Flexologists keep up with member tasks and other assigned duties (1hr/wk)
- Coach underperforming Flexologists on member conversions & retention metrics (2 hrs week)
- Ensure that Flexologists participate in the sales process at a level appropriate for their position
- Directly work with members wishing to cancel to try to save the relationship.
- Meet with owner, general manager, and lead flexologist in the sister location to review studio performance via dashboard (2hrs / week)
- Ensure that Flexologists maintain an accurate record of their time and report this time
to the Area Manager after each pay period ends, per the published payroll schedule
(1 hr / week)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Appreciation for boutique fitness environment is a must – passion for stretching, mobility, flexibility and/or recovery
- Background in one of the following modalities having earned a certificate or degree,
preferably with leadership/management experience in one of the following:
o Massage Therapist
o Personal Trainer/Strength and Conditioning
o Physical Therapist
o Athletic Trainer
o Kinesiology/Exercise Science
o Yoga Instructor
- Experience working in a fitness/wellness environment where you provide hands-on
training with clients
- Ability to create a positive environment that welcomes all people
- Ability to hold confidential information and treat human resources information with
confidentiality
- Persuasive communication skills exuding authority and empathy
- Must love connecting with people and have passion for helping them achieve goals
- Must have a professional work ethic, be reliable, and adhere to our attendance policies
- Must complete (or have completed) the Flexologist Training Program, which includes 20 hours of online training, 2 days of in-person/hands-on training, and an additional 20 hours of practice
- Must keep current on all stretch-related educational material.
- At least six months working in one-on-one assisted stretching, preference to history at a StretchLab franchise
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to learn and master Club Ready and other computer programs.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Base pay: $17.00 - $22/hour
- Stretch pay: stretch rate starting at $10 for every hour performing stretches.
- This position is also eligible for commission on product sales and membership conversions. Some clients offer gratuities.

Pay: $27.00 - $40.00 per hour
