What You’ll Do
As a Lab Assistant Intern, you’ll help the team by:
- Assisting with basic setup and cleanup for mechanical, thermal, and environmental tests.
- Helping organize tools, equipment, and work areas to maintain a safe and efficient shop.
- Supporting engineers and Technicians during testing by handing off tools, preparing materials, and completing simple tasks under supervision.
- Learning how to handle basic shop equipment, and data collection tools
- Performing general shop duties such as sweeping, parts cleaning, inventory checks, and workspace upkeep.
- Pitching in on a variety of tasks as project needs change — every day can be different here.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Curious, eager to learn, and excited about hands-on work.
- A self-starter who takes initiative and follows through on tasks.
- Detail-oriented and willing to keep the shop organized and running smoothly.
- Safety-minded and calm when the shop gets busy.
- A good communicator who enjoys working with a team.
- Currently enrolled in a technical program, or college
- Interest in mechanical, electrical, or hands-on technical work — no prior experience required.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work responsibly in a shop environment.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
