Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Lab Manager to support the daily operations of our busy clinical laboratory. The ideal candidate will possess strong laboratory management skills, extensive experience in microbiology, histology, and molecular biology techniques, and a thorough understanding of regulatory standards such as GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), FDA regulations, and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice). This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to research and development projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards and maintaining high-quality laboratory procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing laboratory operations, ensuring adherence to GLP, FDA regulations, and CGMP standards.
- Support the management of microbiology, histology, molecular biology, and other laboratory techniques essential for clinical trials and diagnostic testing.
- Supervise laboratory staff, providing guidance on laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and quality control measures.
- Coordinate project workflows related to research & development initiatives and clinical trial activities.
- Maintain accurate data collection and documentation using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling of biological specimens in accordance with microbiology standards.
- Assist in inventory management of laboratory supplies and reagents to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
Requirements
- Must have minimum of 3 years Phlebotomy experience.
- College degree and prior management position.
- Previous supervisory or lab management experience is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with computer softwares.
- Excellent communication skills, bilingual in Spanish a plus.
- Sales and marketing experience strongly desired
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences such as biology, microbiology, or a related field; advanced degrees or relevant certifications are preferred. Join our team to help with the growth of the business.
Pay: $22.93 - $27.62 per hour
