AP Specialist

We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our AP team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payments of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices, verify financial data, and ensure accurate coding and approval routing the AP approval system (Stampli).
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
• Handle vendor correspondence via phone and email, resolving invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
• Assist in month-end closing activities, including preparing account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Provide support during audits by offering necessary documentation and information.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g, Stampli, Sage) not required but is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with high-volume invoicing in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.

Work location: In-office (Houston - Galleria Area)

Schedule: 8 hour, M-F
