10X Faculty - BUS309

10X Faculty are responsible for the development and delivery of high volume online courses utilizing primarily instructor created video based student interaction, team teaching, and proprietary technology to enable course management. Provide quality instruction and student advising and maintain high standards of academic excellence in all aspects of work. Uphold Strayer’s mission and values and academic standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Understand and utilize data as a primary mechanism for student outreach Develop relevant videos for each course to engage students, provide instructional support, and feedback. Learn efficient methods to create large volumes of highly engaging content through video and create new methods of efficiency in teaching and content production Keep up to date with essential instructional and engagement technologies Maintain adequate student records Update and maintain instructional content Represent the University as requested Develop outreach strategies and create both text and video content for specific engagement opportunities Work effectively with contributing departments, including Studios and the Instructional Technology department. Oversee and effectively manage a team of teaching assistants Maintain and monitor compliance in accordance with Strayer University policies and procedures, accreditation standards, state, and federal rules and regulations Other responsibilities as assigned Education: All degrees must be conferred and from an accredited institution to be considered Master’s degree in Philosophy OR Juris Doctorate OR Master’s degree in any related discipline with at least 18 semester or 27 quarter hours of graduate course work in Humanities and/or Philosophy and/or Composition & Rhetoric. Preference for coursework and/or experience teaching Critical Thinking. Evidence of academic or professional experience with critical thinking, decision making, information literacy, and diverse and ethical perspectives. Work Experience: At least 2 years of online teaching. For internal candidates, evaluations from students and supervisors will be considered. Job Skills: Self-motivated and highly organized Advocate of social media and mobile technology Ability to embrace technological and pedagogical methodology changes Fluent in cloud based applications, such as Google Doc, Sheets, Office 365, etc. Other: Must be able to travel 10% of time. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Typical office setting. Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required to perform this job. Access information using a computer. Effectively communicate, both up and down the management chain. Effectively cope with stressful situations. Strong mental acuity.
