What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wholesale Sales Director position at STRAWBERRY PARIS?
Wholesale Sales Director – Strawberry Paris
Luxury Boho Womenswear | Paris-born, DTLA-based
Full-Time | Downtown Los Angeles HQ Travel
www.strawberryparis.com
We launched in 2025 and in under a year smashed past $1M in wholesale. Vogue France called us “the new boho obsession,” Who What Wear named our strawberry-pink silk dresses “the piece of the season,” and the coolest girls from Paris to Venice Beach are already wearing us.
Now we’re scaling hard — and we need a hungry, strategic Wholesale Sales Director who owns the entire outreach machine, builds complex multi-step sales programs, and turns “no” into “yes” at both major accounts and independent boutiques. This is not a passive corporate seat. This is a high-ownership role for someone who lives for the chase, thinks several moves ahead, and treats every door like it matters.
What You’ll Own
- Design and execute the full wholesale outreach strategy — from cold prospecting systems to multi-touch nurture sequences that convert at scale
- Open 40–50 new doors every quarter across boutiques, concept stores, and multi-brand retailers in the US, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East
- Sell at both ends of the spectrum simultaneously: majors (think go-sees and multi-step programs with accounts like The Dreslyn, Lisa Says Gah, Revolve, Free People) and high-potential independents
- Master the art of turning soft nos and “we’ll think about it” into signed orders through relentless follow-up, sharp storytelling, and strategic persistence
- Build and refine complex sales programs: personalized video lookbooks, teaser sample campaigns, relationship sequences, and FOMO-driven presentations
- Represent the brand face-to-face at Coterie NY, Paris Fashion Week showrooms, LA Market Week, and key pop-ups — walking away with orders
- Lightly support and elevate the broader sales team while reporting to your supervisor — coaching on process, sharing intel, and modeling high standards without carrying full people management
- Own your numbers, protect your pipeline, and build a black book of the strongest boutique owners and buyers in the game
- Collaborate directly with the founder on big-account strategy and long-term wholesale growth
Who You Are
- Proven sales track record (fashion wholesale strongly preferred) with clear evidence of opening doors and closing at both major and independent levels
- Hungry, persuasive, strategic, and fast-thinking — you see the chessboard, not just the next call
- Rejection doesn’t slow you down; it sharpens your next move
- Comfortable running complex, multi-step sales cycles while still crushing high-volume outreach
- Magnetic in person, sharp on the phone, and natural on camera
- Willing to travel for shows, store visits, and key market moments
- Bonus: French speaker, deep product intuition, and you look the part in Strawberry Paris
What You Get – Built for High Performers
(Estimated take-home: $94,000–$115,000 with strong performance)
- Base salary $28–$35/hour (~$58,240–$72,800/year)
- Guaranteed raises every 6 months (2% every 6 months / 4% yearly) for the first 2 years
- 3% uncapped commission on all your wholesale sales — target of $100K/month in sales = ~$36,000/year in commission (sky’s the limit beyond that)
- Monthly Personal Growth Bonus ($150–$350) Monthly Einstein Award ($100) for intelligent execution
- Guaranteed annual bonus $1,000 → up to $5,000
- Profit-sharing: up to 15% of net profits distributed based on performance
- $3,000 loyalty bonus at the 3-year mark
- 2 free pieces per month clothing allowance
- 20 paid days off to start (13 PTO 7 sick), growing 4 vacation days/year (capped at 25 PTO), plus 5 major holidays
- $150/month health & wellness stipend
- Travel support, DTLA showroom access, and direct collaboration with the founder
Our Culture
Small, fast-moving team. Weekly power meetings with the CEO. Results, ownership, and smart hustle are rewarded. No politics — just “how do we make it happen?”
If you’re the person who can open 40–50 new doors a quarter, run sophisticated multi-step sales programs, and sell Strawberry Paris into both the majors and the coolest independents while lightly elevating the team around you — we want to talk.
Send your resume a short note (or 60-second video) on the biggest or most complex wholesale sale you’ve closed and why you’re ready to own this role.
