THE POSITION
We are looking for a results-driven professional responsible for leading all sales activities within the sales division, directly and through assigned team members. Understands market dynamics, customer needs, competitors, products, and services within the business unit's scope, translating this knowledge into strategic plans that drive profitable growth aligned with company objectives. Directly supervise the Business Development Managers, Retail Manager(s), and Sales Manager(s) of the sales division, coaching and guiding the team in executing growth strategies.
Assigned Territory: Wisconsin, N. Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, New York, Michigan
CORE FUNCTIONS
- Develop and execute a divisional sales strategy aligned with company goals and resources.
- Lead and coach sales staff to achieve established sales targets, quotas, and customer objectives.
- Meet regularly with key clients to maintain relationships, assist with negotiations, and close strategic deals.
- Implement company-wide initiatives such as CRM adoption, sales training, and process improvements.
- Oversee staffing, training, and performance evaluations to ensure team capability and succession readiness.
- Maintain a four-month sales forecast and collaborate with operations to ensure adequate inventory and production alignment.
- Analyze divisional expenditures and control costs within budgetary parameters.
- Ensure team compliance with internal SOPs, policies, and ethical standards.
KEY MEASURES OF SUCCESS
- Achieves or exceeds divisional targets for sales volume, gross margin, and new business growth.
- Demonstrates effective leadership through measurable team performance improvements and succession readiness.
- Delivers data-driven presentations and recommendations using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel to support strategic decisions.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position includes supervisory responsibilities. The employee is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and guidance to assigned staff to ensure departmental goals and objectives are achieved. Responsibilities include hiring, training, coaching, evaluating performance, approving time off, and administering disciplinary action in alignment with company policies and procedures. The supervisor is expected to foster a positive, collaborative work environment that supports employee development and upholds company values.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 3 years of sales experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- 1 year of experience managing project timelines and resourcing.
- 3 years of experience managing and using CRM systems.
- No active non-compete agreement.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5 years of progressive sales leadership experience.
- Proven success developing and executing strategic sales growth plans.
- Experience with ERP systems and data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI).
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Base: $150,000
- MBO: 25% annually
- LTI: 10%
- Profit Sharing: 10% annually

TRAVEL
This position may require up to 75% travel, depending on business needs. Travel may include visits to company locations, client sites, training, or industry events. The amount of travel is subject to change and should not be considered a fixed or ongoing expectation.
Salary : $120,000 - $180,000
