Job Title: Landscape Construction Laborers
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Landscape Construction Laborers to join our team. Successful candidates will assist in the construction and installation of landscaping projects, including hardscapes, softscapes, and site preparation. This is a physically demanding, outdoor position that requires stamina, attention to detail, and a willingness to work in various weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation of patios, retaining walls, walkways, fences, decks, and other hardscape features
- Grade and prepare soil for planting, sod installation, or seeding
- Operate small machinery and hand tools such as shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, and compactors
- Load and unload materials including soil, stone, mulch, and construction supplies
- Follow site plans and instructions from supervisors or landscape designers
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite
- Support irrigation and drainage system installation
- Lay sod, plant trees/shrubs, and perform basic landscaping tasks as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in landscaping or construction preferred but not required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding labor
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to take direction and work well in a team
- Valid driver’s license is a plus
- Punctual, dependable, and safety-conscious
Work Environment:
- Outdoor construction sites
- Exposure to weather elements (sun, rain, cold, heat)
- Use of power tools and heavy equipment (training provided if needed); experience preferred
