Experienced Systems Engineer
Stratix Systems is an innovative and growing company providing a full range of IT consulting services to small and medium-sized businesses.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT individual to support a territory in the Greater Reading region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direction and guidance to those on site, as well as serve as point person during project implementation.
- Provide input into the development, implementation and execution of policies, procedures, strategies, and specific objectives.
- Operate as a key player responsible for infrastructure in the field with Stratix clients, equipping them with the technology, support and service they need to achieve their organizational objectives.
- Serve as a technology consultant supporting the networks and other technology assets of our clients.
- Presents solutions: design and install data networks at client locations.
- Provides technical expertise and assistance on escalated tickets.
- Implements complex VLAN and Network solutions at customers sites, using a variety of technologies (HP, Meraki, Cisco).
- Monitor and summarize the progress of all projects.
- Build and maintain working relationships with clients, team members, vendors, and others involved in the projects.
- Record all time in system, achieve monthly billable hour's goal and other performance objectives defined.
- Troubleshoot complex software, hardware, and network issue.
Requirements:
- Four (4) year college degree in computer science or information systems or Technical School, with 10 or more years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- COMPUTER SKILLS
- Working knowledge of network environments including:
- Server administration and deployment
- VMware Environments
- SAN design & implementations
- Familiar with managing various SaaS services, including Microsoft 365, spam filtering, managed AV, etc.
- Proficient in troubleshooting Windows Server and Desktop operating systems
- Proficient in troubleshooting networking and firewall issues, including SonicWALL, HPE/Aruba, ADTRAN, Meraki, and Cisco.
- Proficient in troubleshooting VMWare and Hyper-V hypervisors.
- Familiar with managing various SaaS services, including Microsoft 365, spam filtering, managed AV, etc.
- Certifications: Valid Driver's License with proof of valid insurance is required. CCNA / CCNP desired.
