The ELOP Athletics Coordinator, under the supervision of the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) Coordinator and/or site principal, will perform a variety of responsible tasks related to the planning, coordination, and implementation of after-school sports programs for K–8 students. This position includes overseeing the recruitment and support of coaches, scheduling of games, coordinating with athletic leagues, facilitating transportation, ensuring facility readiness, and maintaining compliance with district and CIF policies. The ELOP Athletics Coordinator will work to foster a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for student-athletes and serve as a liaison between the ELOP department, coaches, families, and school staff.
Requirements / Qualifications
Tentative Schedule: 181 days/year; Regular School Day/Practice Schedule: 12:30 pm - 6 pm, Game Day Schedule: 1:00pm - 6:30pm. This is a part-time position that may require flexibility with athletics and ELOP schedules/calendars. 1. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; AA degree or higher preferred. 2. Experience: Experience coordinating or supervising youth sports programs, preferably in a school or community setting. 3. Certification: Possession of valid First Aid, Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications (or ability to obtain upon hire). 4. CIF Certification: Required or must be obtained upon hire. 5. License: Valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation. 6. Clearance: Must pass DOJ/FBI fingerprint background check and TB clearance. 7. Training: Completion of Mandated Reporter, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, and any other state or district-required safety training. 8. Personal Qualifications: Demonstrated interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff. 9. Resume 10.
