Join our dedicated Environmental Services (EVS) team as a Full-Time Specialist and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment within healthcare or commercial facilities. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of hallways, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Responsible for the safe, daily collection and segregation of facility waste. Empties and cleans interior receptacles, securely seals all bags, and utilizes rolling utility carts to transport general refuse and recyclables to designated external commercial containers. Must be able to routinely push/pull utility carts and lift up to 35 lbs safely.
- Safely operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain high standards of sanitation.
- Apply chemical agents correctly for disinfection purposes while adhering to safety protocols for chemical handling.
- Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to ensure safe lifting practices during heavy lifting or manual handling tasks.
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces in healthcare facilities or commercial spaces to prevent infection transmission.
- Respond promptly to special cleaning requests or spillages, ensuring minimal disruption to facility operations.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols related to chemical handling, environmental safety, and infection control procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing staff or visitor inquiries courteously and professionally.
- Conduct routine inspections of cleaning equipment and supplies to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
Qualifications
- Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred; healthcare facility housekeeping experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and infection prevention protocols within healthcare or similar environments.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting techniques.
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures involving chemical agents and proper handling techniques.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining sanitation standards.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and facility staff.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform manual tasks throughout the shift.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
