Position Overview:
Stratford Schools is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic First Grade Teacher to serve as a long-term substitute for 3–4 months. The ideal candidate is comfortable jumping into a classroom mid-year, supporting an established curriculum, and providing a structured, engaging environment that meets the needs of every student. There is potential for continued employment beyond the end of the assignment based on school needs.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver lessons and activities in alignment with the Stratford first-grade curriculum.
- Support students in core subjects including reading, writing, math, and science.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and Stratford staff.
- Track student progress and provide feedback as appropriate.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure continuity of instruction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably first grade.
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to follow established routines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary : $28 - $31
