Position Summary
Strategic Technology Institute, Inc. (STi) is seeking an experienced FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Sheet Metal Mechanic to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, OK.
This position is responsible for performing aircraft sheet metal fabrication, structural repairs, inspections, modifications, and maintenance while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer maintenance manuals, and established quality standards.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform aircraft sheet metal repairs, fabrication, and structural modifications.
- Remove, repair, fabricate, and install aircraft skins, panels, floors, and structural components.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, structural repair manuals (SRM), aircraft maintenance manuals (AMM), and technical documentation.
- Perform inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications on aircraft structures.
- Complete maintenance documentation accurately and in accordance with FAA and company requirements.
- Maintain compliance with FAA regulations, safety standards, and quality procedures.
- Work collaboratively with maintenance personnel to support safe and efficient aircraft operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
- Minimum three (3) years of aircraft maintenance experience under FAA Part 121, Part 135, or Part 145.
- Experience performing aircraft sheet metal repairs and structural maintenance.
- Ability to interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, and blueprints.
- Ability to obtain FAA suitability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing structural repairs on transport-category aircraft.
- Experience with aircraft corrosion control and structural inspections.
- Experience supporting FAA or government aviation maintenance programs.
Pay: $34.32 per hour
