As the organization continues to expand across seven-plus business entities, we are seeking a Vice President of Accounting to lead and enhance enterprise-wide financial management and accounting operations.
Position Summary
The Vice President of Accounting is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance with GAAP, and alignment with strategic business objectives. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, this role provides financial insight, supports strategic planning, and leads a high-performing accounting team. The position blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution to support complex, multi-entity operations.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Provide technical and operational leadership across all accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Recruit, develop, coach, and evaluate accounting staff to maintain a high-performing team
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Establish quarterly and annual goals; assess performance and provide ongoing development feedback
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking, and financial data management
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and accounting best practices
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, forecasts, and management reports
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and reporting systems to ensure consistency and compliance
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead enterprise-wide budgeting and forecasting processes
- Develop and manage annual operating budgets and project-based financial plans
- Provide financial modeling and analysis to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning
- Identify financial risks, opportunities, and performance trends
Cash & Asset Management
- Lead cash management strategy, including short-term cash flow planning and investment activities
- Monitor capital expenditures, asset budgeting, and financial planning initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions
Mergers, Acquisitions & Risk Management
- Oversee all accounting and financial aspects of mergers and acquisitions from due diligence through integration
- Identify and mitigate financial risks; provide guidance to leadership on financial decision-making
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state financial regulations
- Maintain internal controls that safeguard company assets and ensure accurate reporting
- Lead audits and coordinate with external partners, including CPA firms and regulatory bodies
Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Serve as a key financial advisor to the COO and executive leadership on strategy and operational performance
- Lead and manage cross-entity and cross-functional projects to drive organizational effectiveness
- Partner with vendors, banks, and external stakeholders to strengthen relationships and improve outcomes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- CPA preferred, but not required
- 7 years of accounting or finance experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial compliance standards
- Experience with project management; QuickBooks proficiency preferred

Pay: $140,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
