Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this executive will be a critical member of the senior leadership team, responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive technology and operational strategy that aligns with the credit union's overall mission, values, and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and articulate a clear and compelling technology and operations vision for the credit union, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Technology Strategy & Innovation: Identify, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies, including AI, machine learning, robotic process automation (RPA), and cloud computing, to optimize processes, improve decision-making, and create new member value.
- Data Strategy & Analytics: Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive data strategy, including data governance, quality, and security. Oversee the implementation of advanced analytics capabilities to gain actionable insights and drive data-informed decisions across the organization.
- Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement across all operational areas, leveraging automation and process re-engineering to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
- Digital Transformation: Champion the credit union's digital transformation initiatives, ensuring a seamless and engaging member experience across all digital channels.
- Information Security & Risk Management: Oversee the credit union's information security program, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and systems. Collaborate with risk management to identify and mitigate technology and operational risks.
- Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key technology and service providers, ensuring optimal performance and value.
- Team Leadership & Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing technology and operations team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the technology and operations budgets, ensuring responsible and effective allocation of resources.
- Collaboration & Communication: Effectively communicate the technology and operations vision, strategy, and progress to the board of directors, senior management, and the wider organization. Collaborate effectively with other departments to achieve organizational goals.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all technology and operational activities comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in technology and operations, preferably within the financial services industry, with a strong understanding of credit union operations.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful technology and digital transformation strategies.
- Deep understanding of modern technology frameworks, including AI, machine learning, data analytics, automation, and cloud computing.
- Proven ability to leverage data to drive strategic decision-making and improve business outcomes.
- Strong understanding of information security principles and practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented mindset.
- Experience managing significant budgets and vendor relationships.
- Knowledge of relevant financial services regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience working within a financial institution.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, ITIL).
- Experience with agile methodologies and project management frameworks.
