The ERP Applications Manager is responsible for the functional operation, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications. This role serves as the primary liaison between business users and IT for ERP-related processes and ensures that systems effectively support operations across manufacturing, finance, sales order management, and distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business users to understand operational processes and identify system needs
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for development teams
- Manage ERP application support queue and prioritize helpdesk tickets
- Coordinate ERP development resources to ensure timely delivery of enhancements and issue resolution
- Ensure prompt response and resolution of production issues and user requests
- Maintain a strong understanding of how ERP systems support cross-functional business operations
- Lead functional testing for system enhancements, bug fixes, and new features
- Develop test scenarios and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements
- Support release planning and deployment of system changes
- Participate in ERP implementation activities, including JD Edwards EnterpriseOne
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10 years of experience supporting ERP systems in manufacturing or distribution environments
- Strong understanding of business processes including manufacturing, order management, finance, and logistics
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
- Experience with JD Edwards XE or JD Edwards EnterpriseOne
