What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Mechanical Process Engineer position at Strategic Storage Partners, LLC?
Engineering and Design
Provide designs and prepare Summary of Work packages for maintenance type construction subcontracts and Change Notice revisions to same. Prepare Corrective Maintenance plans for major repetitive tasks, such as component replacements and develop standards specifying the product and the resources needed for these tasks. Perform and support failure analysis.
Technical Support
Participate in review phases of design of capital additions and changes in site layout to ensure full maintainability of equipment, utilities and facilities. Apply value analysis to make maintenance decisions. i.e., repair/replace and repair/redesign. Provide technical support to Operations, Procurement, Maintenance, ES&H, and Quality Assurance on projects under construction. Participate in and lead, as needed/directed, the Readiness Review Board (RRB) meetings. Participate in Pre-Construction and Pre-Bid Meetings, as required.
Configuration Management
Prepare Engineering Change Requests/Proposals for revisions to the program baseline and submit these to the appropriate change boards. Perform configuration management functions to facilitate implementation, readiness review boards, and close-out of ECP’s.
Preventive and Predictive Maintenance
Assist Site Maintenance in planning, scheduling, analysis, and maintenance of the Databases of Vibration and Fluid Analysis of the Predictive Maintenance Program. Provide technical review, direction and routing of preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
Additional Duties
Provides support as related to the Configuration Management and Technical Data Center duties and requirements as per the process/procedure. Prepare or participate in the preparation of training material. Attend meetings (Monthly Safety Council, Controlled Evacuation Committee, and other meetings as required.
REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering, experience - 7 years in the petroleum/petrochemical industry and plant engineering. Experience in instruments and controls are essential. Good written and oral communication skills are essential.
DESIRED: Professional Engineering license desirable. Mechanical integrity along with Predictive Maintenance experience preferred.
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
