Summary of Primary Responsibilities:

Under general direction leads, works with, distributes work and coordinates the activities of an assigned group of employees performing all stores functions to include receiving, storing and issuing supplies and equipment, the receipt of fuel and the Fixed Asset Accounting function. Under general direction maintains the accountability of records in a production warehouse type environment in keeping with federal regulations. Provides technical guidance and oversight of the work force to assure inventory accuracy is maintained within company standards. Under general direction provides technical guidance and daily oversight of the work force compliance with the CFR 49 for preparation and shipment of hazardous material through the public transportation system. Responsible for maintaining the hazardous material central accumulation area in accordance with applicable regulations. Under general direction performs input into SAP system in receiving, issuing, purchase requests, fixed assets, service verifications and shipping of materials through intrasite transfers, vendor repair facilities and other government agencies. Provides technical guidance and daily oversight of work force to ensure maximum physical protection of material and equipment. Escorts vendors as required completes other related duties to ensure attainment of overall job objective and completes other assignments and special projects to support company goals Provides technical guidance and daily oversight of work force to ensure maximum physical protection of material and equipment. Works with other departments to assure necessary material for daily scheduled work is available on a timely basis. Provides technical guidance and daily oversight of the work force compliance with detailed management of storage and handling of health hazard materials, ESDS Materials, radioactive material, and Shelf Life Material management. Provides technical guidance and daily oversight of work force compliance with segregation of storage of stores inventory by Use Code ( i.e. current use, standby, excess/scrap, future use, etc.)

Qualifications:

REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years? experience in shipping and receiving warehouse type environment, with 2 years inventory control experience. Must have the technical skills to operate a real time, computer-based inventory control system. Must be able to operate materials handling equipment such as electric and motor driven forklifts. DESIRED: Experience in the SAP Management System In addition to the above minimum qualifications to enter the job, this job has ongoing job competency and training requirements and /or certification requirements to become fully qualified in the job.
