Senior Microsoft 365 Migration Engineer (SaaS Data Migration)
Location: Richmond, VA, McLean, VA, Plano TX (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $97/hour
We are seeking a senior-level Microsoft 365 Migration Engineer to support large-scale enterprise SaaS and data migration initiatives. This role will focus on Microsoft 365 tenant readiness, governance, compliance, and execution of high-volume migrations within a complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute large-scale Microsoft 365 migrations, including:
Exchange / Outlook
OneDrive
SharePoint
Ensure data integrity, availability, governance, and compliance throughout migration efforts
Assess, harden, and align Microsoft 365 tenants with enterprise governance and compliance standards
Support SaaS-to-SaaS and on-prem to cloud migration initiatives
Serve as a Microsoft 365 subject-matter expert, providing technical guidance and validation
Automate administrative tasks and migration workflows using PowerShell and other scripting tools
Troubleshoot and resolve complex Microsoft 365 platform issues
Collaborate with architecture, security, and platform teams to align with enterprise standards
Required Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 / Office 365 engineering
5 10 years of experience supporting enterprise-scale migrations
Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 governance, compliance, and tenant management
Strong PowerShell scripting experience
Experience with SaaS-to-SaaS and/or on-prem to cloud migrations
Ability to work at both engineering and architectural levels
Strong communication and collaboration skills
