Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager with strong IT project delivery experience and SAP project background. This role will manage multiple technology projects from planning through execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business and technical objectives.
The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams, including IT staff, business partners, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders. This position requires strong communication, documentation, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage 3–5 active IT projects simultaneously, depending on scope and complexity
- Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, timelines, and progress tracking
- Facilitate project meetings and maintain detailed meeting minutes, notes, and action items
- Maintain RAID logs, including risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies
- Track project budgets, cost estimates, timelines, and resource allocation
- Lead teams through project scope definition, planning, execution, and delivery
- Drive adherence to SDLC methodologies and infrastructure/application project standards
- Manage stakeholder communication, expectations, and project updates
- Translate complex technical information for business and technical audiences
- Ensure project documentation is accurate, complete, and stored in appropriate repositories
- Identify, manage, and escalate risks or issues as needed
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to support successful project delivery
Required Qualifications
- PMP certification required
- Minimum 7 years of project management experience
- Strong Information Technology project management background
- SAP project experience required
- Experience managing SDLC and application-focused projects
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Vendor management experience in IT environments
- Strong leadership, planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Strong documentation, forecasting, and communication skills
- Experience estimating and tracking time, cost, resources, and project performance
- Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, or similar
- Bachelor’s degree required; education verification required
- Must be able to complete required drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting projects in the electric utility industry
Additional Details
This position is available on a W2 basis only. Corp-to-Corp candidates are not eligible. Visa sponsorship is available.
Pay: $80.00 - $85.00 per hour
