Fraud Risk Associate – Payments, Banking & Trading
Contract to Hire – W2 Rate based on experience and location (typically $38/hr – 58/hr)
Salt Lake City, UT.
100% onsite/in office role
Level: Associate / Vice President
Reports To: Head of Third-Party Risk Management & Strategy
Required Skills & Experience
- Must have experience within the financial sector
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk, or related field
- 5 years of experience in fraud risk, financial crime, or operational risk
- Experience in financial services (payments, banking, or trading preferred)
- Strong understanding of fraud risk concepts and controls
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Project management or coordination experience
- Vendor management exposure and/or experience
- General knowledge of financial regulations (SEC, FINRA, OCC, etc.) is strongly preferred
Preferred Skills
Experience with Third Party Risk Management (TPRM)
- Certifications are always ideal
Day to Day
- Identify and assess fraud risks across payments, trading, and banking systems
- Support fraud risk reviews for internal processes and third-party vendors
- Help design and improve fraud controls and risk mitigation steps
- Work with risk, compliance, operations, and technology teams
- Prepare reports and summaries for leadership
- Track fraud trends and support ongoing risk monitoring
- Assist with vendor and third-party risk management activities
- Support project tracking and delivery of fraud risk initiatives
Pay: $38.00 - $58.00 per hour
