Litigation Paralegal

A well-established CBD firm seeks to immediately find an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support its general liability / insurance defense practice. This position offers a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to work on sophisticated litigation matters with a phenomenal litigation team.

This role is ideal for a paralegal who is comfortable managing files in a fast-paced defense practice and enjoys taking ownership of cases from initial intake through trial preparation.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with all phases of civil litigation, with a focus on general liability and insurance defense matters
• Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
• Manage document production, review, and organization
• Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and expert witnesses
• Prepare medical records summaries and chronologies
• Maintain case calendars and track deadlines
• Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness materials
• E-file in state and federal courts
• Communicate with clients, carriers, experts, and opposing counsel
  
  

Qualifications

• 3 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in insurance defense, general liability, or civil litigation
• Prior defense litigation experience is a must
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and deadlines
• Experience with document management and e-filing systems
• Ability to manage multiple cases and work independently
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Trial preparation experience preferred
• A bachelor's degree and /or paralegal certification is a must
