Legal Assistant Paralegal

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying involved in the day-to-day movement of cases and supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process. The role will include assisting with personal injury files, communicating with clients, organizing documents, managing deadlines, preparing correspondence, and helping keep cases moving efficiently from intake through resolution.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable working in an active legal environment where priorities can shift throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys with the organization and management of case files.
• Maintain accurate electronic and physical files, records, and case documentation.
• Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in each matter.
• Assist with drafting correspondence, pleadings, discovery materials, and other legal documents.
• Request, organize, and track medical records, bills, and other case-related documentation.
• Assist with scheduling depositions, hearings, meetings, medical appointments, and other case-related events.
• Monitor deadlines, calendars, and case progress to help ensure matters continue moving forward.
• Prepare documents for attorney review, filing, and distribution.
• Provide additional legal and administrative support to attorneys and team members as needed.
• Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or in a similar legal support role preferred.
• Personal injury experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple files and responsibilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort working with electronic case files and legal software.
• Ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with clients who may be dealing with difficult circumstances.
• A team-oriented attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.
