Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Analyzing federal procurement data from FPDS‑NG to uncover spend patterns, vendor performance, and contracting insights.
- Supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) by evaluating case execution data, financial tracking, and performance metrics.
- Building intuitive, high‑impact dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or MS365.
- Leveraging DoD enterprise data platforms—such as Advana—to perform advanced analytics, data blending, and predictive modeling.
- Presenting clear, BLUF‑style insights and recommendations to senior Navy stakeholders, including Flag Officers, SES, and Program Managers.
- Contributing to data integration efforts that improve how Navy acquisition systems share, structure, and govern data.
This is a role where your analytical skills, technical curiosity, and understanding of the acquisition environment will directly support Navy mission success.
Required
- Hands‑on experience extracting and analyzing procurement data from FPDS‑NG.
- Working knowledge of the FMS lifecycle, funding, and case execution.
- Strong data visualization skills with modern BI tools.
- Understanding of the DoD/Navy acquisition lifecycle, contracting principles, and FAR/DFARS.
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non‑technical audiences.
Preferred
- Experience using Advana, especially Cosmos or Jupiter.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or advanced SQL for data engineering and analytics.
- Familiarity with Navy acquisition systems such as Research, Development and Acquisition (RD&A) Information System (RDAIS) or Program Management Reporting Tool (PMRT).
