Position Summary
While working as a Non-CDL Driver, you will be tasked with fulfilling duties and performing tasks related to loading vehicles with customer products, maintaining delivery schedules, and delivering merchandise to the customer. The person in this position assists with the logistics department by ensuring deadlines are met and deliveries stay on schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive a fleet vehicle, such as a box truck or van to deliver and pick-up merchandise and/or customer packages
- Collaborate with the fleet service coordinator to determine delivery times and schedules
- Frequently load and unload packages from vehicle
- Collect signatures and dates from recipients that serve as proof of delivery
- Follow all state and federal laws, obey traffic laws, and follow established traffic procedures
- Ability to read and understand GPS (Global Positioning System) directions
- Verify that items are addressed correctly, marked with proper postage, and are in suitable condition for processing
- Maintain customer service and professionalism when interacting with customers
- Assist with other departments when needed
- Other duties as assigned

Work on job assignments in other departments as instructed.
Requirements
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is required but some prior experience or training as a delivery driver is preferred.
- An active DOT card or the ability to pass a physical to receive one
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Performing this job successfully requires that an individual have a solid understanding of computers, data entry, internet searches, the Microsoft Office suite and email applications.
- Ability to pass a background check
- Mathematical abilities required by this job include reading a ruler, calculating simple costs, and other basic mathematical skills
- While performing the duties of this job, one is occasionally required to stand for prolonged periods of time. Additionally, reaching with hands and arms is frequently required to walk, stoop, and bend over and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate frequently works in close proximity to moving mechanical parts, as well as other employees. Additionally, the noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud, and usually consists of light machinery, nearby printers, and other employees conversing.
