Facilities Technician

Position Summary

While working as a Facilities Associate, you will be tasked with maintaining the facility appearance internally and externally of both of our Owings Mills locations. This includes performing basic building and grounds upkeep and assisting with minor and routine repairs and preventative maintenance.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Preform routine daily rounds of the facility to replenish consumable supplies such as copier paper, paper towels, toilet paper and soap
• Gathering up all trash and recyclables from the buildings to be taken to our outside dumpsters
• Dusting, vacuuming, and general daily spot cleaning of both buildings
• Maintain responsibility for reporting when the compactor requires emptying or service
• Perform simple building maintenance and repairs such as changing light bulbs and ballasts, patching and painting drywall, replacing water filters, and completing simple part changes on production equipment
• Support basic grounds maintenance requests such as arranging patio areas as well as simple parking lot and landscaping issues
• Help with cleanup of events
• Coordinate with supervisors and coworkers to meet deadlines and identify new projects
• Enter information into the ticketing system and facilities calendar in order to keep track of jobs and assignments
• Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education And/or Experience

• A High School Diploma is required but some prior experience or training in facilities, janitorial, or maintenance is preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, one is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time. Additionally, reaching with hands and arms is regularly required to walk, stoop, and bend over and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the associate regularly works in close proximity to moving mechanical parts, as well as other employees. Additionally, the noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud, and usually consists of light machinery, nearby printers, and other employees conversing.
