What are the responsibilities and job description for the SEO Specialist position at Strategic Employment?
An established B2B SaaS company is seeking an SEO Specialist to take full ownership of organic search for the organization.
This individual will own keyword strategy, on-page and technical optimization, and help build out the company's emerging AI/generative search presence. This is a dedicated specialist seat with real autonomy - not one of several responsibilities split across a broader marketing role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own organic search end-to-end: keyword research, on-page and technical SEO
- Monitor site performance and analytics, tracking and reporting on what's working
- Stay current on search engine algorithm updates and competitor SEO strategy
- Partner with marketing and development to ensure SEO best practices are implemented
- Help build out the company's AI/generative search (GEO) approach as the function matures
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of dedicated, hands-on SEO experience - not general marketing experience
- Proficiency with SEO/analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, or similar)
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Ability to independently own SEO from strategy through execution
- Curiosity about AI/generative search is a plus
