About the Role
We're looking for a Counter Sales Representative to join our branch team in the Pooler, GA area. You'll be the face of the branch — greeting walk-in customers, managing phone-in orders, and building the kind of relationships that keep contractors coming back. You'll also pitch in on light warehouse work to help keep inventory accurate and orders moving. No electrical background required — we'll train the right person who brings strong customer service instincts and a great work ethic. And there's real room to grow here: our current Counter Sales Rep is being promoted into an inside sales role, opening this seat for someone ready to build a career with us.
Responsibilities
- Greet walk-in customers and handle incoming phone orders
- Assist customers with product selection and order questions
- Pull customer orders from the warehouse and prepare accurate sales tickets
- Promote and sell current product promotions
- Support warehouse functions, including daily inventory cycle counts and receiving deliveries
- Work toward monthly sales and gross margin goals
- Multi-task and prioritize across customers, phones, and warehouse duties throughout the day
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Sales experience and/or industry knowledge a plus, not required — we'll train the right candidate
- Comfortable working directly with customers face-to-face in a counter or retail-style setting
- Good, dependable math, verbal, and written communication skills
- Computer and MS Office literate; comfortable learning new software
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis, up to 70 lbs. occasionally
- Reliable, responsible, and a great work ethic
- Must be able to work a steady daytime schedule (generally 7 AM–4 PM, occasionally to 5 PM)
Pay Range and Compensation Package
- Hourly pay range of $22–$26/hour, based on experience
