Customer Service Representative
Our client is a healthcare company based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, providing specialized diagnostic and clinical services to a range of organizational clients.
This is a hands-on customer support role within a small, collaborative team. You'll be the frontline contact for clients — managing orders, answering questions, and resolving issues — while helping maintain accurate records and strong data practices across the department's core systems.
Responsibilities
- Respond to client calls and emails in a timely, professional manner
- Enter and manage customer orders accurately
- Look up and communicate results to clients as needed
- Maintain and update customer profiles and account information
- Onboard new clients into internal systems, including the company's LIMS (laboratory information management system)
- Escalate complex or sensitive issues to the team lead when appropriate
- Maintain HIPAA compliance across all customer interactions and data handling
- Identify opportunities to promote additional services to existing customers
- Support consistent data quality practices across systems used by the team
Requirements
- Prior customer service experience, ideally in a healthcare or regulated industry
- Comfortable learning and working within order management or CRM/LIMS-type systems
- Experience handling sensitive or confidential data in a regulated environment
- Strong communication skills — clear, professional, and client-focused
- Detail-oriented with solid data entry accuracy
- Local to Kalamazoo or willing to relocate (fully on-site role)
- Bonus: experience with Salesforce
