Tax Manager

A dynamic CPA firm in Southern California is seeking a Tax Manager to join their team. This role is based outside of Del Mar and would be a mostly remote role for candidates anywhere in California. The role involves a variety of tax responsibilities, from preparation and review to strategic planning.

Salary: Up to 130K DOE

Responsibilities

• Manage and review corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Lead tax engagements and oversee delivery from planning through completion
• Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients
• Research complex tax issues and communicate recommendations clearly
• Serve as primary client contact for tax matters and relationship management
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring quality and development
• Stay current on tax law changes and advise on business impact
• Collaborate with leadership to improve processes and client service
  
  

Qualifications

• MUST reside in the state of California - this role is only open to remote within CA
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA or EA license required
• 4 years of public accounting experience
