What are the responsibilities and job description for the Avionics Technician position at Strategic Employment Partners (SEP)?
Avionics Technician:
A privately held aviation company is looking for an experienced Avionics Technician to take a senior role on the hangar floor, working on mid- to large-cabin business jets and transport-category aircraft (Gulfstream, Falcon, Challenger, or similar). This person will be the go-to avionics resource for more complex troubleshooting and projects while still staying hands-on with the aircraft. The range for this position is $43-$46/hr with significant overtime pay.
What you’ll do:
- Handle diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades on corporate and special-mission aircraft avionics
- Take ownership of more complex jobs and help guide other technicians when needed
- Ensure documentation, quality, and safety standards are consistently met in a regulated environment
What we’re looking for
- 5 years of avionics experience in an MRO/repair station or corporate aviation setting
- Strong ability to work from wiring diagrams/schematics and use standard avionics test equipment
- Prior experience acting as the senior or go-to tech on a team; A&P or equivalent avionics background is a plus
