Evanston Golf Club in Skokie, Illinois, is seeking an Assistant General Manager to join a historic, member-owned private club known for its Donald Ross golf course, active year-round programming, and a family-friendly membership culture. Founded in 1898, the Club recently completed a full course restoration and is moving forward with additional capital improvements, making this a well-supported opportunity to join an organization in active growth.
The AGM is a newly created role reporting directly to the General Manager, with direct oversight of Food & Beverage, Aquatics, Racquets, Housekeeping, Locker Rooms, and the Gun Club. Day-to-day responsibilities span operational oversight across all departments, consistent member-facing service standards, and team development at the department head level. A key focus in the first year will be building strong working relationships across an established management team, addressing service and housekeeping standards, and establishing training and accountability frameworks, particularly within Food & Beverage.
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on operations leader who works effectively behind the scenes, brings F&B knowledge and multi-department experience, and is ready to provide meaningful operational support to a General Manager in a complex, multi-outlet environment. Private club experience is preferred.
