Operations Support Analyst Intermediate (Training and Exercises) Job Description

 

JOB TITLE: Operations Support Analyst Intermediate (Training and Exercises)
CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance
LOCATION: Colorado Springs, Colorado

 

Salary Range: $85-$110K

 

SUMMARY: SABG is hiring an Operations Support Analyst Intermediate (Training and Exercises) (DW) to support the WOI contract with the Missile Defense Agency.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. Essential duties include:

·         Develop and coordinate curriculum, course products and training materials with internal and external providers.

·         Develop and maintain a training plan that keeps contractor workforce proficient in MDA MDS Operational tools, modeling & simulation software, and network connections.

·         Train the warfighter on operability and application of wargames and exercises tools, including future capabilities.

·         Assist Combatant Commands with the development, planning, analysis, execution, and assessment of wargames and exercises scenarios using digital models and simulations.

·         Coordinate equipment transportation to support testing and execution.

·         Create and maintain documentation, including quick reference guides, and best practices, to facilitate knowledge transfer.

·         Develop comprehensive training materials for participants, facilitators, and controllers to articulate event objectives and procedures.

·         Support testing phases for exercises and wargames, including System Verification Test, Event Verification Test, Event Functional Test, and Event Operational Test.

·         Serve as liaison between internal MDA organizations.

·         Provide daily updates while supporting a JELC event, and post reports for any event within the JELC and Execution.

·         Identify event risks, provide risk assessments, and identify potential mitigation plans.

·         Facilitate after-action reviews and collect feedback and insights to inform future wargame and exercise planning.

·         Develop and coordinate Event Execution Reports including key lessons learned; disseminate Event Execution Reports.

 

SUPERVISION: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in related field with 5 years’ relevant experience

·         5 years’ supporting operational exercises and wargames in theater

·         Experience in lieu of the above requirements will be considered

 

COMPUTER SKILLS:
 • Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations, DoD Directives and US Code. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on data.
