Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Apartment Leasing Agent to join our vibrant property management team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process with enthusiasm and professionalism. - Greet prospective tenants warmly, conduct property tours, and present leasing options that meet their needs
- Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through lease signing, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete
- Utilize Yardi and OneSite property management software to input data, track leads, and maintain detailed records of interactions
- Explain lease terms, contracts, and legal obligations clearly while ensuring compliance with Landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to address property issues promptly and communicate effectively with residents regarding property maintenance requests
- Upsell additional services or amenities to enhance resident satisfaction and increase revenue opportunities
- Handle conflicts professionally using conflict management skills, resolving disputes efficiently while maintaining positive relationships
- Maintain organized filing systems for legal documents, lease agreements, and administrative records in accordance with company policies
- Assist with Section 8 and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) program compliance requirements as needed
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, phone etiquette, filing, and general office duties to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property leasing or real estate administrative roles with a strong understanding of property management practices
- Knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing regulations, Landlord-tenant law, and Fair Housing laws
- Proficiency in Yardi, OneSite, and other property management software such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools
- Excellent customer service skills combined with effective sales techniques and negotiation abilities
- Strong conflict management skills to handle resident concerns diplomatically
- Legal administrative experience related to lease contracts, agreements, or housing regulations preferred
- Office experience including data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and general administrative support
- Ability to upsell amenities or services confidently while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Facilities management knowledge is a plus for coordinating property maintenance issues effectively
