Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate electrical system requirements for utility-scale solar PV power plants
- Direct and/or develop electrical layouts using AutoCAD
- Develop electrical studies and calculations using ETAP
- Direct Electrical Designers and Engineers to prepare and revise electrical drawings and calculations
- Participate in ‘Page Turn’ reviews with construction and project management teams
- Provide construction support during the project execution phase
Supervise Electrical Designers and Electrical Engineers
Education And/or Work Experience Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited university
- Registered Professional Engineer
- Minimum eight (8) years relevant work experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Proficiency with application of NFPA 70 (NEC)
- Ability to perform electrical studies using ETAP software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable presenting to and interacting with consultants, authorities with jurisdiction, and customers
- Experience with design of solar PV projects (desired)
- Experience with electric utilities (desired)
- Ability to obtain out-of-state PE license(s)
