Plumbing and/or Electrical Department Associate

Full-Time

Strasser Hardware is looking for a dependable, hands-on person to join our Plumbing and/or Electrical department. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, learning products, and working in a fast-paced hardware store environment.

You do not need to know everything on day one, but you should have a solid foundation in plumbing and/or electrical products or general hardware and be comfortable helping customers find the right products for their projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with plumbing and/or electrical products and related accessories
• Help customers choose the right products for home repairs, remodeling projects, and light commercial applications
• Answer customer questions and recommend solutions based on their needs
• Keep the department clean, stocked, organized, and easy to shop
• Restock shelves, face products, and maintain displays
• Help customers with related products and suggest complementary items
• Support other departments when needed
• Provide friendly, professional customer service
• Continue learning additional products and departments over time

Qualifications:

• Experience with plumbing, electrical, maintenance, construction, facilities maintenance, HVAC, manufacturing, or retail hardware
• Good product knowledge of plumbing and/or electrical products
• Reliable, hardworking, and professional
• Comfortable working in an active, hands-on retail environment
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Willing to learn, take initiative, and work as part of a team
• Bilingual is a plus

This is not a desk position. This is an active sales floor role in a busy hardware store. We are looking for someone who stays engaged, confidently assists customers, supports the team, and takes pride in keeping the department clean, organized, and fully stocked.
