𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄:

This is a full time, on site position responsible for monitoring and operating wastewater treatment processes, collecting and analyzing samples, maintaining plant equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring compliance with state and federal environmental regulations. The role also supports overall plant operations, process control, system reliability, and emergency response functions to help protect public health and the environment.

Candidates may apply as a trainee or as a licensed Wastewater Treatment Operator. Trainees will receive on the job training and are expected to obtain required certifications within established timeframes.

𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:

• High school diploma or GED

• Valid Virginia driver’s license

• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds

• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred experience includes knowledge of wastewater treatment plant operations, process control systems, pump station operations, laboratory sampling procedures, or preventative maintenance practices. Relevant certifications are a plus but not required.

𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲:

This full-time position generally requires a rotating shift schedule with weekends and on-call responsibilities as needed based on plant operations.

𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘆:

$18.78 to $28.17 per hour, depending on qualifications and certifications
