Are you an experienced hotel executive ready to build a premier beachfront property from the ground up? Strand Hospitality is seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead the grand opening and ongoing operations of the brand-new, oceanfront Hampton Inn & Suites Cherry Grove.
We are seeking an experienced hotel leader who understands that exceptional hospitality and strong financial performance go hand in hand — someone who can build a team, own the P&L, create an outstanding guest experience, and lead through Strand's Core Values.
Starting in November 2026, you will partner directly with Strand leadership to drive the pre-opening strategy, recruit and develop a high-performing team, and establish this property as a market-leading hotel and a premier destination the Grand Strand.

Key Responsibilities
As General Manager, you will hold ultimate accountability for operations, financial strategy, sales leadership, culture, and guest experience:
- Pre-Opening & Launch: Collaborate with above-property leadership and stakeholders to navigate final construction phases, FF&E, staffing, and pre-opening sales strategies for a successful June 2027 launch.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations across all departments—including Housekeeping, Maintenance, Front Desk, and Food & Beverage—ensuring strict alignment with Hilton brand standards.
- Financial Leadership & P&L Ownership: Own the hotel's financial performance and P&L. Develop and execute annual budgets and forecasts; understand and respond to variances; manage labor and operating expenses; and drive revenue, profitability, and flow-through. Use financial and operating data to make timely business decisions while protecting the guest experience.
- Team Leadership & Retention: Foster a high-energy, inclusive workplace culture rooted in continuous learning. Provide actionable feedback, maintain an open-door policy, and champion staff development.

- Guest Experience & Quality: Lead from the front to deliver exceptional service ratings, proactively addressing guest feedback and maintaining flawless internal and brand quality audits.
- Community Ambassadorship: Serve as the face of the hotel within the local business community (Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, local tourism boards).
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Management Scale: Proven experience as an exempt-level hotel manager at a property generating $7M in annual revenue
- Experience: 10 years of progressive leadership roles within hotel management
- Brand & Location: Hilton brand experience, resort/oceanfront hotel management, and Food & Beverage operations experience
- Licensure: Must hold or obtain a valid driver's license, reliable insured vehicle, and satisfactory driving record.
