What are the responsibilities and job description for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst position at Straith Hospital?
🚨 We’re Hiring: Behavior Analyst (BCBA) | Hospital-Based Severe Behavior Program 🚨
If you’re a BCBA who is passionate about working with individuals with autism who present with complex and severe challenging behavior, this is a rare opportunity to be part of something meaningful from the ground up.
At Straith Hospital, we’ve launched Michigan’s first hospital-based Specialized Intervention for Severe Behavior Program - a highly structured, multidisciplinary model designed to provide intensive, evidence-based assessment and treatment for children and young adults with ASD.
This is not your typical outpatient role. This is high-impact, high-collaboration, and deeply clinical work within an inpatient and outpatient continuum of care.
You’ll step into a leadership role where you will:
- Lead functional assessment and treatment development alongside BCBA-D level clinicians
- Provide hands-on training and supervision to behavior technicians
- Drive data-based decision-making through ongoing analysis of clinical outcomes
- Ensure treatment fidelity and clinical excellence
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary hospital team
- Support caregiver training and long-term generalization of outcomes
We’re looking for a BCBA who:
- Has experience (or strong interest) in severe behavior and intensive ABA-based treatment
- Thrives in a fast-paced, team-based clinical environment
- Brings leadership, clinical judgment, and a commitment to high-quality care
- Values mentorship, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Experience in established severe behavior programs and staff supervision is strongly preferred.
- Be part of a first-of-its-kind program in Michigan
- Work alongside highly specialized, doctoral-level behavior analysts
- Help shape a program serving a critically underserved population
- Engage in meaningful, data-driven clinical work every day
- Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and more
- Full-time (M–F, 8:30am–4:30pm)
- Inpatient setting with on-call, weekend, and rotating holiday responsibilities
This is a unique opportunity to do career-defining work - the kind that pushes your clinical skills, challenges your thinking, and makes a real difference for individuals and families who need it most.
