Responsibilities
- Assist with concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing to create smooth, durable surfaces.
- Set up and operate power tools and hand tools for formwork, rebar installation, and surface preparation.
- Read blueprints and schematics to accurately interpret project specifications and ensure precise execution.
- Install rebar and metal studs according to engineering plans to reinforce concrete structures.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor required for site preparation, form setting, and material handling.
- Operate heavy equipment such as concrete pumps or mixers safely and efficiently on construction sites.
- Apply finishing techniques including troweling, caulking, plastering, stucco application, and flooring installation to achieve desired aesthetic quality.
- Support renovation projects by performing masonry, framing, roofing, or restoration tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols and site regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to interpret schematics and ensure project milestones are met on time.
Experience
- Prior construction site experience with hands-on involvement in concrete-related tasks is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus for understanding project scope and resource planning.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings ensures accurate implementation of plans.
- Experience operating power tools, heavy equipment, or commercial driving enhances versatility on the job site.
- Skills in masonry, rebar installation, framing carpentry, metal stud framing, tile laying or flooring installation are advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina for demanding workdays is essential.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to concrete pumping, welding, plastering, caulking or restoration projects is beneficial.
