What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Sales Manager position at Strahman Valves?
Requirements:
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will develop and execute a sales plan that grows all aspects of the Strahman Group’s product offerings in the East region of the US through the motivation, training, and support of a network of manufacturer’s representatives as well as limited sales to direct customers. Managing relationships with customers, sales representatives, and internal factory support personnel is essential to success in this role. The key measure of success is sales growth in the region.
Primary Functions:
- Leads the manufacturer sales representative network and select direct accounts to maximizesales revenue and meet or exceed forecasted growth targets in the region
- Provides direction, motivation, and leadership for the sales representatives in region includingregular joint sales calls to customers, strategy development, and product training
- Promotes products solutions to customers for all Strahman Group business segments includingwashdown mixing units, process valves, BI-TORQ industrial valve automation and GEMCOValves
- Supports overall business planning process including customer relationship management,opportunity management via CRM, as well as proposal development, follow-up and closure
- Establishes quarterly and annual sales plans for the region in support of overall companyobjectives
- Expands industry knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professionalpublications, maintaining personal networks and attending tradeshows/seminars.
- Supports the preparation of effective quotations, bids, and related negotiation documentationfor the sales of products produced by the company as needed.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgement with respect to significant matters.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or equivalent technical sales experience
- Minimum of 5 years of Sales and Manufacturer Representative Management experience,preferably in the food & beverage and industrial markets
- An interest in taking the next step in sales career by leading 3rd party manufacturingrepresentatives
- Lives within reasonable driving distance of a major airport within the region
- Ability to utilize the Solution Selling process for complex technical sales inquiries
- Experience maintaining a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, such asSalesforce
- Regular overnight and local travel throughout region to meet with customers and channelpartners
- Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
