Duties
Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to each student's unique needs, incorporating curriculum development and learning technology tools.
Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions focused on enhancing academic skills across various subjects.
Manage classroom activities effectively, maintaining positive behavior and encouraging student participation through classroom management techniques.
Utilize specialized instructional strategies for students with disabilities or learning challenges, ensuring compliance with special education standards.
Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting lesson plans accordingly to meet educational goals.
Foster a supportive environment that promotes confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and school staff regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and instructional activities in accordance with school policies.
Qualifications
Valid certification in special education or related field.
Experience working with children, particularly in early childhood education, preschool, or classroom settings.
Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
Familiarity with learning technology and innovative teaching methods for diverse learners.
Prior experience tutoring or teaching children with special needs or in adult education settings is preferred.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and staff.
Demonstrated ability to work patiently and adaptively with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
