Role Overview

StradIT is seeking a commercially driven Client Partner to grow its financial-services business through deeper client relationships, account expansion, and new-client acquisition.

You will own an established portfolio of active accounts, with a primary focus on expanding existing relationships / acquiring new clients. You will be accountable for identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, and leading sales opportunities through commercial negotiations and deal closure.

The role will focus on selling IT managed services, project-based technology engagements, to banking, capital markets, wealth management, and fintech. You will work with leadership, presales, and delivery teams to develop proposals and statements of work, align client needs with delivery capabilities, and support successful engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own relationships and account-growth plans for assigned financial services clients.
  • Develop relationships with senior business, technology, and procurement stakeholders, expanding engagement across relevant business units.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand existing accounts through additional services, projects, and client relationships.
  • Acquire new clients within an agreed target market and account list.
  • Lead sales opportunities from initial discovery and qualification through proposal development, commercial negotiations, and closure.
  • Collaborate with presales and delivery teams to define solutions, scope engagements, and develop proposals and statements of work.
  • Maintain a qualified pipeline, clear opportunity plans, and accurate revenue forecasts.
  • Work with delivery leaders to monitor client satisfaction, address issues, and identify opportunities for continued business.
  • Maintain clear ownership of commercial relationships while coordinating with the teams responsible for delivery.
  • Achieve agreed commercial targets, with clear expectations for existing-account growth and new-business acquisition.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in enterprise sales, IT services sales, managed services, or strategic account management.
  • Experience selling service offerings to financial-services organizations.
  • Relevant knowledge of financial-services segments and their business and technology buying processes.
  • A proven record of expanding enterprise accounts, acquiring new clients, and achieving commercial targets.
  • Experience owning complex sales opportunities through qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closure.
  • Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and develop opportunities across multiple functions or business units.
  • Experience working with presales and delivery teams on client solutions, proposals, and statements of work.
  • Strong commercial judgment, negotiation, presentation, and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to meet the stated NYC office and client-travel requirements.

How Success Is Measured

  • Success will be assessed against agreed targets that reflect the assigned account portfolio, business-development mandate, and expected sales cycle.
  • Existing-account growth: Increased business within assigned accounts through expanded relationships and additional engagements.
  • New-business acquisition: New clients secured and new engagements closed.
  • Commercial performance: Achievement of agreed revenue, bookings, and/or gross-profit targets.
  • Pipeline quality: A qualified pipeline supported by clear next steps, realistic close dates, and credible forecasts.
