Staff Accountant
Strack Associates, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. We are a full-service accounting firm providing tax preparation, bookkeeping, and payroll services to individuals and businesses.
Responsibilities
· Prepare federal, state, and local individual and business tax returns under the guidance of senior staff
· Perform bookkeeping and general accounting services including reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts for clients
· Process and assist with payroll services including 941 and local withholding filings
· Maintain accurate and organized financial records
· Assist with year-end accounting
· Communicate with clients to obtain necessary financial information and resolve questions pertaining to tax returns, financial needs, and agency notices
· Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
· Prior experience in public accounting or a similar accounting environment preferred
· Strong proficiency with Intuit tax software(s) preferred
· Knowledge of individual and business tax preparation
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team
